We examined the role of vitamin A in helping children recover from upper respiratory infections.

In our case control study involving children aged 4-6, we found that those with respiratory infections had lower vitamin A levels compared to healthy kids.

Surprisingly, while vitamin A seems to support airway function during recovery, children with wheezing did not show the same benefits.

Overall, vitamin A appears vital for maintaining healthy respiratory function, especially when kids are fighting off infections.

If you have a sore throat and a cold, I found that taking this vitamin A and 2g of vitamin C every hour helped me recover from a common cold within half a day. The IgA antibody produced by the throat’s villi is supported by vitamin A, which made a significant difference for me.

It’s simply fantastic! I struggled with acne for ages, with enormous red pimples on my cheeks causing me distress. Despite visiting doctors, nothing worked. I read online that retinol (Vitamin A) could assist with acne, so I ordered it. To my surprise, the pimples stopped appearing! While I still have post-acne pigmentation spots, the breakouts are gone. Highly recommend! 10 out of 10.

Vitamin A is crucial for immunity and skin health. After a course, I noticed my skin issues cleared up, and I haven't had problems for over a year. I now incorporate it regularly into my diet, noticing positive effects, including respiratory support and overall skin condition, alongside omega-3. However, one must be cautious about dosages, particularly for pregnant women.

Cold symptoms alleviated

I was cautious about overdosing, so I hesitated to take vitamin A, unsure of how long it would be necessary. I realised I had a deficiency that had persisted since childhood. I experienced irritation in my throat and swollen lymph nodes, so I took 50,000 IU for two to three days for acute cold symptoms. Soon after, my cold feet felt warm, and I could sleep without needing to warm my futon. It had an immediate effect, and I was pleasantly surprised. The next day, my throat discomfort had vanished.

Prevents colds effectively

To ward off colds, Vitamin A is known to strengthen mucous membranes. Consequently, I've been taking it consistently for the past five years as I have a sensitive nose and throat. I typically take two tablets of 20,000 IU each night and consume more if I notice cold symptoms. Thanks to this, I haven't experienced a common cold in years. I believe it's beneficial for anyone dealing with a cold affecting the nose or throat.

Eye dryness resolved

Perhaps I discovered my vitamin A deficiency after tests prescribed by my gynecologist-nutritionist due to five years of dyshidrosis. I purchased Now Foods vitamin A capsules in Montenegro, which contain cold-pressed olive oil. I typically lack vitamin A since I avoid animal products that are rich in it. After starting the supplement, I noticed a significant improvement in my immunity upon returning to Moscow's cold, rainy weather, and best of all, my eye dryness vanished just two days into the treatment, which I hadn't previously addressed with anything else.
