I was cautious about overdosing, so I hesitated to take vitamin A, unsure of how long it would be necessary. I realised I had a deficiency that had persisted since childhood. I experienced irritation in my throat and swollen lymph nodes, so I took 50,000 IU for two to three days for acute cold symptoms.
